A homemaker and resident of Baton Rouge, she died Friday, January 15, 2016. She was 58 and a native of Pride-Baywood. Visiting at The Greater Mt. Canaan Baptist Church, 5820 Evangeline St., Baton Rouge, LA, on Saturday, January 23, from 8:30 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. and religious service at 10 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Johnnie L. Turner. Survived by two sons, Deitrich Lavy, Sr. and Damien D. Selders, Sr., both of Baton Rouge, LA; eight grandchildren, Keizland Forsythe of Lake Charles, LA; Decoda Lavy, Dietrich Lavy, Jr., D'Anthony Selders, and Daquantay Singleton, Ashlyn Domengeaux, Damien Kelly, and Diamond Collins, all of Baton Rouge, LA; her estranged husband, Adolph Lavy, of Baton Rouge, LA; four sisters, Margaret Selders, Rev. Lola (Rev. Johnnie) Turner, Ruthie Giles, all of Baton Rouge, LA; Valorie (Gregory) Dawson, of Prairieville, LA; two brothers, Dr. Robert (Devoria) Selders, Sr., of Lake Charles, LA and McCharles Selders of Baton Rouge, LA; sister-in-law, Mary Alice Selders of Baton Rouge, LA; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her son, Chad R. Selders; grandson, Damien D. Selders, Jr.; parents, Hollis, Sr. and Adell Muse Selders; paternal and maternal grandparents; two sisters, three brothers, 4 nephews and three nieces.
