Leon Byron Spurlock entered into eternal rest on August 17, 2016 in Baton Rouge, LA. He was born June 10, 1951 in Clinton, LA. Visitation will be at St. John Baptist Church (6148 Gilead Road, Clinton, LA) on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at 8:00 AM until funeral service at 10:00 AM, conducted by Rev. Johnnie Turner, interment at church cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Dianne Spurlock, and children, Tierney Spurlock Bennett, Kelsey Spurlock and D'Lon Spurlock; five grandchildren, Darius, Christopher Shawn, Makala, Makenzie, and Taylon; three sisters, Sadie Allen, Mildred Robinson and Willie Mae Mims. He was preceded in death by his parents: Columbus and Rosa Thomas Spurlock, a sister, Ida Spurlock Kilbourne; three brothers: Ernest Spurlock, Sr., Cleveland Spurlock and Leroy Spurlock.
