Deswin Jermond Harden "Big Dee"

A native and resident of Slaughter, LA departed this life on Saturday, April 13, in Baton Rouge, LA. He was 37. Visitation will be Saturday, April 20, 2019 from 11am until Funeral Services at 1pm at Strangers Home Baptist Church 8525 Lemon Rd. Zachary, LA 70791. Rev. Dr. Thomas Lewis, Officiating. Interment in Strangers Home Cemetery. 

He is survived by his wife Nicosia Carter Harden; mother Susan Harden(Bruce) Blanchard; father Memlon Shumaker of Chicago, Illinois; one stepdaughter Renisha Dunn; three sisters Coralita Shumaker of Dabuque, Iowa, Joya Shumaker  of St. Louis, Missouri and Thayrise Shumaker of Las Vegas Nevada; five brothers Denzel Jones, Darrius Jones Sr., Bruce Jones II, Dajeron Jones all of Slaughter, Louisiana and Josiah Shumaker Chicago, Illinois; a step grandchild Riley Cannon. 

He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents; two uncles Carl Joseph Young and Desmond Deon Harden; 1 nephew Darrius Jones, Jr.
