My condolences to the family first, I remember we worked 2-10 shift together and we’d order food all the time enjoying new treats & save the rest for later, we loved our coffee towards the end of the shift before we wrapped things up, we’d talk and laughed about our shift, after 2 years working together she went to day shift, I later went to night shift on a different hall but we kept in touch every now & then, we’d even talked on the phone sometimes, I thought I was gonna see her again & we could order some food like old times. Truly gonna miss you girl❤️❤️

Shamicka and I met many years ago, while I was her Supervisor at a Home Health Agency in Baton Rouge. She was at that time and remained kind, considerate and dedicated to caring for others. She was a joy to be around and I was saddened to hear of her passing. My prayers are for her beautiful daughters, may God grant you strength & peace as you navigate the days, months & years to come. God will never leave nor forsake you, stay in Him. My sincere condolences & prayers.

Shamicka! Shamicka! I have met you many years ago and you have always been kind, patient and someone I could go to if I had questions about anything. You kept me laughing and even at the times when you were not trying to be funny. Now who will keep me updated about the people on Love & Hip Hop?? lol But I am happy that I got to meet her in this lifetime. She will definitely be missed!!

I met Shamicka years ago at Lakewood Quarters. Every day was a good day when she worked because she always made you laugh. I never knew her to have a bad day, if she did you didn’t know it. She loved her girls, she would talk about them all the time. Years later we became neighbors in the apartments on 72nd across from Winnfield funeral home. She was my Facebook friend also.

I work with Shamicka at Lakewood Quarters. We were on 300 hall together. She was a Nurse and me a Cna but she never acted like she was better than me. We were one big happy family. My daughter went to summer camp @ Southern Lab with her twins. Her and I think his name is Chris (the guy that worked at Walmart tire shop ) They were there when this guy asked me to marry him. She was that type of friend. She will be missed greatly.
