Obituary of Willie James Perkins

Willie James Perkins “Cowboy” On January 18, 2021 at Lane Regional Hospital Willie rode off into the sunset at the age of 64. He was a resident of Zachary and a member of Fairview Baptist Church in Ethel. Viewing will be held at Richardson Funeral Home of Clinton January 22,2021 from 4-7. The funeral will be at the Fairview Baptist Church January 23,2021 at 11:00 am with a viewing from 9-10:45. The address is 5375 Greenbriar Rd. Jackson, LA 70748. We are requesting that you wear a mask. The funeral service can be viewed via Youtube. Remembering his life of 26 years is Joyce Perkins. Two sons Jason Jones (Adia) and Christopher Jones. He also had a stepson named Vladimir McCarty. He has eleven brothers and sisters; Donald R. Perkins (Tina), Sidney Perkins, John L. Perkins (Helen), Leroy A. Perkins, Sylvester Perkins Sr. (Joyce), Jacqueline A. Perkins, Ida D. Hill, Brunette Nalls (Chris), Richard D. Perkins (Wanda), George L. Perkins , MacArthur Perkins; His father and mother-in law Leroy and Elizabeth Lockett, sisters and brothers-in law ; Florence Wellons, Leroy Lockett ( Conchita), Linda Mays ( Travis) , Richard Lockett ( Iris), Lonnie Lockett, SR (Cathy), Jules Lockett ( Janice), Terrance Lockett, and Angela Lockett (Preston); 4 grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Perkins is preceded in death by his parents Gayden Perkins, Sr and Ida Lee Perkins; paternal grandparents Bessie McKneely and John Perkins and Leander McKneely; maternal grandparents Elnora Brooks, Flander Brooks and Emma Brooks; brother Gayden Perkins Jr.
